Chariot Waddell

Intern

My name is Chariot and I am 16 years old. I attend Desert Vista where I am a Junior. I came to PAZ because I Love being a force of change in my community. I believe that voting is the number one way to place people in office that will advocate for the wants and needs of the community. I love PAZ’s mission to encourage people in the latino community to vote and help migrants thrive in our community. I am a tenacious leader who excels in everything I set out to accomplish. I feel most at peace  when I am spending time outside with the people I love. I get filled with joy when I am using my god given talents to create change in the community. I plan to first pursue higher education and get my PHD. What sparks my interests right now is medicine, mechanical engineering, biology, and language learning. I dream of my career involving traveling around the world, exploring new places and meeting new people.I aspire to learn about different cultures and reconnect with my roots.

I’m optimistic, kind, outspoken and I love anything where I can step out of my shell. Reading, listening to music, taking risks, and being spontaneous are things I love to do. In the future I plan on going to college and studying child psychology, Journalism, writing, and working at a therapy company. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. In the future, I hope to be able to do research related to my major.

Brynn Hansen

Intern

My name is Brynn, I am 17 years old and I am a senior at Mountain Pointe High School. I was brought to PAZ because my Mother works with the boys and girls club, and she was telling me about a program called the PHX Rise. I was not sure where I would be placed but, I am glad it has to do with immigration and voting rights. I have been dancing on and off for years and I just recently made it into my school's company dance program. I am very organized, talkative and I love meeting new people and trying new things. I am still unsure of what I want to do. I have a passion for culinary, as well as interior design. I do know that I want to dance in college, hopefully for the Phoenix Suns.
